CATCH THE WAVE!

Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008

8:00 am - ??

WHO:
Hawaii Deaf Surfriders Association (HDSA), Hawaii’s chapter of Deaf surfers, gathering in part to promote beach and ocean safety.

WHAT:
HDSA invites you to join us for a day at the beach. The cost is $10 per person. A picnic lunch is included. THE BEST PART is that HDSA volunteers will be providing surf lessons at no additional cost. Surf lessons will be given on a first come first serve basis. There will also be a "D/HH Mock Surf Contest". This is to allow for practice of competitive surfing in a low key, friendly environment. Email Jen McDonnell (SeaJenSurf@gmail.com) to sign up for lessons or the mock contest.

WHEN:
October 25, 2008 (Saturday). 8am - ??

WHERE:
Haleiwa Beach Park
(The surfing beach is just past the trees. Just go towards the ocean and you will find us!)

WHY:
The United States Deaf Surfriders and HDSA are hosting the World Deaf Surfing Championships in 2009. Money earned at these fundraisers will assist in the funding of our 2009 event.
