8:00 am - ??

Hawaii Deaf Surfriders Association (HDSA), Hawaii’s chapter of Deaf surfers, gathering in part to promote beach and ocean safety.

HDSA invites you to join us for a day at the beach. The cost is $10 per person. A picnic lunch is included. THE BEST PART is that HDSA volunteers will be providing surf lessons at no additional cost. Surf lessons will be given on a first come first serve basis. There will also be a "D/HH Mock Surf Contest". This is to allow for practice of competitive surfing in a low key, friendly environment. Email Jen McDonnell ( to sign up for lessons or the mock contest.

October 25, 2008 (Saturday). 8am - ??

Haleiwa Beach Park
(The surfing beach is just past the trees. Just go towards the ocean and you will find us!)

The United States Deaf Surfriders and HDSA are hosting the World Deaf Surfing Championships in 2009. Money earned at these fundraisers will assist in the funding of our 2009 event.
